UML creates pressure to hold local poll: Leader Khanal

Ilam, March 21: CPN (UML) senior leader Jhalanath Khanal has claimed that his party would emerge top in the upcoming local-level election.

At a programme organised by CPN (UML) Village Committee at Irautar in Ilam on Tuesday, senior leader Khanal said, “The country will make a great stride in economic sector after the election as the CPN (UML) is the pillar of economic development and democracy in the country.”

Also the former Prime Minister, Khanal said that the CPN (UML) would play a significant role to hold the election even after exerting public pressure as the country has already moved ahead towards this direction.

Saying the constitution would be fully implemented only if elections of three tiers were held, he blamed that some people and groups have been making attempts not to allow the implementation of constitution. RSS
