7 Limbuwan cadres arrested while enforcing shutdown


 


SURUNGA (Jhapa), July 16: Police here have arrested seven cadres of the Limbuwan National Revolutionary Party for attempting to bring the vehicular traffic to a grinding halt as part of the shutdown the party enforced On Thursday.

Police arrested them from Butabari in Jhapa today afternoon, according to Sanjaya Bahadur Raut, the District Superintendent of Police (DSP) at Area Police Office, Birtamod.

The Limbuwan Party has enforced shutdown today, demanding nine districts to the east of Arun River in the Eastern region to be named and demarcated as the Limbuwan province. RSS
