Baglung, Rukum, Nawalparasi districts split in new federal set up


 


KATHMANDU, Aug 9:

Leaders of the four major political parties have finalized demarcation of the federal states splitting three districts–Rukum, Baglung and Nawalparasi– in the new federal structure of the country.

Three districts—Baglung, Rukum and Nawalparasi — have been split in two parts while the other districts were kept intact.

In a bid to provide passage to India to the Province no. 4, Nawalparasi district has been spilt at Daunne. According to the decision, the eastern part of Nawalparasi will be the part of in Province no. 4 while the western part of the district will be included in the province no. 5.

As per the deal, western part of Baglung district has been included in the Province no. 5 while eastern part of the district will be in the Province no. 4.

Likewise, the eastern part of Rukum district has been included in the Province no. 5 while the western part of the district will be a part of province no. 6.
