UML decries political appointments

Kathmandu, Dec 11 (RSS): The CPN (UML) has criticized the political appointments made by the government immediately after the elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies.

Issuing a press statement Monday, UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel has protested the appointments made by the government in Gorkhapatra Corporation, Film Development Board and other bodies.

The UML General Secretary has also cautioned the responsible persons of the civil servants not to engage in such decisions.

The appointments made by the government in such a time are unfortunate and the steps against people’s mandate, reads the statement.

Pokharel also made it clear that upcoming government would not give continuity to any of such decisions taken by the government at a time when the left alliance has emerged victorious.
