Area administration renders hassles than services


 


Bhojpur, Aug 19: The area administration office, which was set up at Dingla of Bhojpur district to provide service to the local people of northern belt of the district, has become a centre for rendering hassles rather than services.
Locals have been bearing the brunt of the absence of chief at the Area Administration Office. The service recipients have been deprived of access to services delivered from the Dingla Area Administration Office when the office chief is on deputation showing several reasons.
Ganesh Bikram Basnet is the in-charge of the Area Administration Office. In-charge Basnet has been residing in Dhankuta on deputation since last April 16 which has adversely affected public service delivery from the Area Administration Office.
In absence of office in-charge at area administration, locals of Khadananda municipality, Boya, Deurali, Sangpang, Nepaldanda, Kudakakaule, Chaikudanda, Kulung, Khatamma, Dobhane VDC have been compelled to walk through three day distance to reach to district headquarters for public service.
Birkha Bahadur Rai, a local of Dobhane VDC in the northern belt of the district, said there has been a compulsion for them to reach to district headquarters to obtain a citizenship certificate. “It takes four day to reach the district headquarters”, he added.
The area administration office ahs been set up at Dingla to effectively provide services to the public but the office in-charge is not available there since long, complained Mani Rai, a local of Kulung VDC. RSS
