Curfew lifted in Birtamod for 12 hours

Jhapa, Oct. 29 (RSS): The local administration has lifted the curfew for 12 hours from 9:00 this night to 9:00 am tomorrow in Birtamod, Jhapa.
At a news conference in Area Police Office, Anarmani, Chief District Officer Rishiram Tiwari said the curfew was lifted for 12 hours from 9:00 pm today. “Further decision would be taken tomorrow whether to extend the curfew or not,” Tiwari said.
A curfew order was clamped as the situation turned tensed in Birtamod from Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the high-level probe panel formed by the Ministry of Home to probe into the death of 11-year-old Laxman Siwakoti has said that the investigations have moved ahead from the preliminary stage.

Coordinator of the panel, Birendra Kumar Yadav, said that it would take some time to finalize the issue as the team has worked for report collection. He also urged all to cooperate with the probe panel for investigations.
