Gyalbo Lhosar today

Kathmandu, Feb 27: Various programmes are being organized today to mark the Gyalbo Lhosar (New Year) celebrated especially by the Sherpa community in the country.
As per the dathok calendar of Bhot language, the next year beginning on Monday will be of bird, said culture expert Teeka Sherpa.
The Himalayan Sherpa Culture Centre is organizing a special function having Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal as the Chief Guest.
The government has given a public holiday today.
