UML informs diplomatic missions on Mechi-Mahakali campaign

Kathmandu, March 9: The CPN-UML has informed the diplomatic missions in the capital city about its Mechi-Mahakali campaign and the Saptari incident.

The UML argued that the party was not responsible for the Saptari incident, and it would continue its campaign as scheduled earlier. The untoward elements in the name of united democratic Madhesi front were behind the violence, it added.

During the programme, Chairman KP Sharma Oli said the international community should not be confused about the incident. The offices of the UML and houses of UML leaders in various districts in Madhes were vandalized and set on fire, he added.

On the occasion, Chief of the foreign department of the party, Madhav Kumar Nepal and Vice-Chairman Bhim Bahadur Rawal informed that diplomatic mission representatives about the obstructions created on the party’s campaign. RSS
