DPM, Minister sworn in

Kathmandu, May 8: President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly-appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development Bijay Kumar Gachhadar this evening.

The President administered the oath of office and secrecy to Gachchhadar at a ceremony held at the Office of the President in Shital Niwas in the presence of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

Likewise, newly-appointed Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jitendra Narayan Dev and Minister for Land Reforms and Management Gopal Dahit were also sworn in this evening in a separate ceremony.

Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Speaker Onsari Gharti, Ministers, high-ranking government officials and chiefs of security bodies were present on the occasion.
