Nawalparasi’s district hospital starts work for upgrading its capacity



Nawalparasi, May 21: The oldest hospital in the Nawalparasi district has started repair and maintenance work to upgrade its capacity with help of a budget allocated by the Ministry of Health.

The Prithvi Chandra Hospital is channelizing the Rs 6 million it received from the ministry on repairing the inpatient, outpatient departments as well as the emergency and surgery wards, District Prithvi Chandra Hospital Management Committee, Parasi Chair, Santosh Kumar Srivastav, said.

The hospital – which has received a green signal from the government to upgrade its 15 – bed capacity to 50 – bed capacity – is also preparing to run a 24 – hour pharmacy.
