13,033 people’s representatives elected so far

Kathmandu, May 26: The Election Commission (EC) has so far elected 13,033 people’s representatives from the first phase of civic polls held on last May 14.
According to the Joint Election Mobilization Centre at EC in Kantipath, Kathmandu, the results of 280 local levels have been so far fianlized.
EC Spokesperson Surya Prasad Sharma shared the election results of Kathmandu and Bharatpur Metropolis and Changunarayan municipality are yet to be final.
As per the latest update, 280 chiefs/chairpersons, 280 deputy chiefs/vice-chairpersons and 2,526 ward chairpersons, 2,521 women members and 2,380 Dalit women members have been so far elected from the first phase of civic polls.
