Five Nepalis looted in India

Bhimduttanagar, Sept 25 (RSS): Five Nepalis who were returning home from India to be with family members for the Dashain festival have been looted in India.

Those looted are Lakshya Nepali, Nawaraj Nepali, Bharat Nepali, Kamal Nepali and Ramesh Sijapati of Tilepata Municipality-5, Dailekh. They worked as wage labourers at Bageshwar in India.

According to the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, they were looted at a place called Kichchha in Uttarakhand, India. Kichchha is 70 kilometres from the bordering town Banbasa.

Preliminary investigation by police showed that the gang of looters looted the five Nepalis by giving them liquor laced with sedative. The five victims arrived at Gaddachauki, the west transit point on Nepal-India border in the district today afternoon and informed the police about the incident.

They were all looted of their cash and belongings. Thepoliceis making arrangements to send them home with the help of the Help Desk.
